Santo Domingo.- The National Institute of Professional Technical Training (Infotep) inaugurated this Friday, with the presence of President Luis Abinader, the Josefa Brea Technological Center in the populous Social Improvement sector in the capital.
Rafael Santos BadiaCEO of Infotep He said that this training space is the product of the tripartite support of businessmen, workers and the Dominican Government, and driven by the active dynamics of social inclusion carried out by President Abinader.
“Infotep once again brings its professional technical training services closer to the population that needs it most, on this occasion, in a more sensitive way, inaugurating the Josefa Brea Technological Center, a magnificent place for preparing young people and adults without jobs and without studies -SIN-SIN- who aspire to decent jobs and more promising opportunities for growth”, he said.

He also announced the beginning of a program that will benefit 1,300 young people who will be given a stipend of 400 pesos a day, while they attend one of the technical careers.
“This new location, together with the system’s 15 operating centers, will train specialized technicians who will have the opportunity to find quality jobs,” said Santos Badía.
This will be done through 32 different training actions in the areas identified as those with the greatest demand and need in the area, and other 4.0 approach training will be given soon.
He stated that the goal of the Center is to train more than seven thousand participants each year who reside in the 42 neighborhoods and sectors of District 3 of the National District, with the aim of positively impacting the productive sectors and improving the quality of life of people. Likewise, some 20,000 young people who attended various technical qualification programs for decent employment benefit.
The Josefa Brea Technological Center
The Technological Center has been designated in honor of Josefa Brea, wife of Ramón Matías Mella, whose actions involve the history of all the winners who rose with sacrifice and struggle.
It is located on Josefa Brea street in the Social Improvement neighborhood, two blocks from February 27th avenue, in a three-story building, with 1,098 m2 of construction, in a total space of 695 m2.
It has automotive, computer, kitchen workshops, classrooms, a beauty practice workshop, supply stores, offices, service areas for participants and other administrative areas.
