Nicaraguan opponents criticize the excessive support provided by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) to the regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo.
Various organizations consider that through Dante Mossi, the aim is to revive the pact between the current administration and the Superior Council of Private Enterprise, going over the imprisoned directors of the union and the attacks on democracy directed by the State.

CABEI, in a meeting attended by a COSEP executive, promised larger loans, which was interpreted as an act of complicity with the dictatorship to once again seat the private sector with Ortega delegates.
“This time CABEI lends itself to being “the carrot” after so much stick offered by Ortega to businessmen,” they said in a joint statement signed by more than 20 opposition organizations.
