The Vice Minister of Transportation, Víctor Sánchez, said in contact with Radio 1000 that they are analyzing with the Ministry of Finance to include electric buses and that they be owned by the Government to improve the frequency of groups on the streets. On the point, he clarified that the buses will be operated by the private sector through a trust fund. The idea is to reach 1,000 groups in five years.
“It is a project idea, where the intention would be to buy 200 buses per year, and reach 1,000 buses in 5 years in order to provide a better service to users through electromobility. The intention is that the buses are owned by the Government and are operated by the private sector and maintained by another private sector, then, there is already a trust account where the tickets on the street will be received as income and this administration will make the different remunerations ”, Sánchez explained to Radio 1000.
