Almost a million young people entered the RCP since 2012

The Electoral Justice reported that 999,642 young people; approximately 21 percent of the voting population; have benefited from the automatic rule that allows people who are 18 years of age to enter the Permanent Civic Registry (RCP).

The Central department leads the largest number of registered with 287,251 people, followed by Alto Paraná with 112,714, Itapúa with 92,172 and Caaguazú with 88,304 automatic registrations.

The list continues with Capital with 79,239 young people, Concepción with 33,331 registered, San Pedro with 64,280, Cordillera with 45,361 young people, Guairá with 30,152 and Caazapá with 27,939.

In addition, the report indicates that in Misiones there are 17,226 automatically enrolled, Paraguarí with 36,412, Ñeembucú with 11,137, Amambay with 18,490, Canindeyú with 26,547, Presidente Hayes with 17,205 young people, Alto Paraguay with 2,004 and Boquerón with 9,878 automatically enrolled.

According to the statistics cited by the RCP Updating and Debugging Directorate, automatic registration increases 12 percent each year as a result of a homogeneous growth in the national population, according to the source of the National Population projection of the National Institute of Statistics (INE). ).

At the same time, young people who have benefited from automatic registration until April 29, 2023, one day before the National Elections, are urged to go to the nearest district office before May 31, 2022 to update their data in the RCP.
