The US donated $ 314 thousand to the Judicial Police of Ecuador

Debra Hevia, Ministra Consejera de la Embajada de los Estados Unidos, y el General del Distrito, Manuel Iñiguez, Director General de Investigaciones de la Policía Judicial del Ecuador.

The donation included 4 vehicles, 75 desktop computers, 18 video cameras, 9 Go Pro cameras, 25 special flashlights and 20 GPS.

The Embassy of the USA at Ecuador made a donation of approximately $ 314,000 in vehicles, computers, cameras, GPS, among other elements, at the Judicial Police of Ecuador.

The donation it was conducted through the Office of Counter-Narcotics Affairs and Law Enforcement (INL). The ceremony was held at the facilities of the Judicial police in Quito where representatives of the Ministry of Government, the Policeman National, and the Embassy of the USA.

This delivery is part of the cooperation between the USA and the Ecuador in the fight against drug trafficking and organized transnational crime. The donation included: 4 vehicles, 75 desktop computers, 18 video cameras, 9 Go Pro cameras, 25 special flashlights and 20 GPS.

During the award ceremony, Debra Hevia, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the United States in Ecuador said: “this donation is an important milestone in the security collaboration between the Ecuador and the United States, and reaffirms our commitment to continue working for our common interests to reduce crime and strengthen security in our countries, reducing violence.

The equipment will be distributed around the country and will strengthen the work of the Judicial police to respond to criminal acts that affect citizen security. (DLH)
