On the last Wednesday, May 4, the Peru Libre caucus did not vote uniformly in favor of bills 697, 862 and 908. Of the 37 official congressmen, five of them opposed the initiatives, which would show a division in guidelines politicians.
These are parliamentarians José María Balcazar Zelada, Flavio Cruz Mamani, Alex Flores Ramírez, Jorge Maticorena Mendoza and Silvana Robles Araujo, who questioned and opposed the vote of the majority of their bench.
The Republic spoke with Alex Flores and Silvana Robles, both from Peru Libre, in order to find out if there were discrepancies within the group due to the rejection of the projects that promote modifications in the board of directors of Sunedu: two representatives of public universities and one from private universities, apart from representatives from Concytec, Sineace, Minedu and the College of Deans of the professional colleges.
