Cendoesch opens offices on China Issues Analysis

The Dominican Center for China Studies (Cendoesch), opened its offices in Santo Domingo in an act in which its executive director, Yeuk Fai Cheungdefined the entity as a “think tank that aims to investigate the Asian giant” so that the Dominican Republic has a better understanding of that country.

Pronouncing the main words and the ribbon cutting, he said that the office seeks to “better understand China, a country that becomes a fundamental actor in the creation of a new world order, gives our country the opportunity to promote alliances that result in for the benefit of both nations.

In that order, Yeuk-Fai invited those present to join voices, reflections and efforts around this common goal.

Present at the activity were the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Zhang Run, Minister Counselor Zhang Buxin, as well as the Embassy’s Political Attaché, Xu Teifei.

Along with Yeuk-Fai were also the directors of the Cendoesch, Mihail García, Operations Director; Esmeralda Mancebo, Director of Culture; Y Pamela de la RosaDirector of Research.

The opening It also had the presence of personalities, collaborators and representatives of institutions such as the prominent politician Manolo Pichardo; the economists and collaborators of the center, Haivanjoe NG and Julio Ortega Tous.

As well as the representatives of the Jade China Procommunity Foundation, Miguel Feng and Jack Liang, president of the Dominican Wuyi Youth Association; Lesly Tineo from the Confucius Institute and Luis González, academic, sinologist and international consultant, among other personalities.

Leading newspaper in the Dominican Republic focused on general news and innovative journalism.
