Working women's forum addresses the boost of Venezuelan women in the country's economy

The Forum: The role of working women in the Economy and Production, addresses the impulse of Venezuelan women to advance in the various sectors in Venezuela.

This was stated by the Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, Diva Guzmán, in the activity that took place this Thursday from the headquarters of the Social Protection Fund for Bank Deposits (Fogade), located in Caracas.

This forum featured a presentation by the head of the National Trade portfolio, Dheliz Álvarez; the lawyer, Andreina Tarazón, and the general director of the Training and Innovation Foundation for Rural Development (Ciara), David Gómez.

Minister Guzmán stressed that “women in the Bolivarian nation have a lot to say, given that they continue to drive the Venezuelan economy. Likewise, she added the head of the portfolio for Women, that this system must be part of the agenda against imperialism. The reflections made by our speakers are pertinent”.

She also emphasized that the Venezuelan Congress of Women is a forum for Venezuelan women to have the opportunity to build. “It is a space that becomes a methodology in itself to make public policy and self-assessment,” Diva Guzmán highlighted.

For her part, lawyer Tarazón insisted on guaranteeing the power of Venezuelan women through education and training. “I invite you to think about and study the economy as a derivative of patriarchy.”

Meanwhile, Minister Dheliz Álvarez stressed that women have always been the country’s working force. “Women bring out the best of themselves, that combative and joyful spirit in the face of the difficulties that we have had to live in this Bolivarian Revolution.”

Likewise, the director of Ciara, David Gómez, maintained that “women are the political subject that represents the first political trench against the North American empire. “If we talk about the 3Rs. NETS in the R of Residence is the woman mainly ».

Gómez assured that more than 50 percent of the Venezuelan population is female. “The participation of women in food security is essential.”
