Venezuela celebrates the Venezuelan Congress of Women in the Disability Sector, in order to deepen the equality and equity of the female gender, and in this way continue to enhance the capacities of women with disabilities.
The president of the “José Gregorio Hernández Mission” Foundation and Conapdis, Soraida Ramírez, said that women meet in this activity to advance towards a feminist Venezuela.
She indicated that the sector of women with disabilities has been doubly discriminated against for being a woman or for having a disability, for this reason they seek to continue showing Venezuela and the world all the potential of women.
“Part of the proposal that is being handled within the sector is to continue making the sector of women with disabilities visible. Second, to strengthen capacities within society in terms of education and work. In that role that is not only the role of the family, but from the productive point of view, from the point of view of the economy and education”, Ramírez announced.
She also pointed out that more than 60% of women have participated in the different activities carried out and highlighted how women with disabilities contribute a lot to society and the country to continue building a beautiful homeland.
