Montevideo is the second city in Latin America with the most expensive real estate, according to a report

Montevideo is in second place among Latin American cities with the most expensive square meter in the region, only behind Santiago de Chile, according to a report prepared by the University of Torcuato Di Tella together with Zonaprop.

The list, which reports an average rise in prices in dollars of 1.9%, places a the capital of Chile in first place, with a value of US$ 3,571 per square meter, and Montevideo in second place, with an average of US$ 2,867. They are followed by Buenos Aires (US$2,570), Mexico City ($2,374) Y Rio de Janeiro ($2,361).

Most of the cities had a drop in the value of the square meter. Although, there were three exceptions: Santiago de Chile, with an increase of 3.8%, Rio de Janeiro, which had an increase of 5.5%, and São Paulo, with a rise of 13.9%.
