Three times excommunicated Madonna asks to speak with the pope: “I am a good Catholic”

Hoy Paraguay

In her beginnings in music, Madonna used the video clips of her songs to provoke the curiosity of her followers and offended the Catholic faith, for which she was excommunicated, not once, not twice, but three times. However, as time passed and she settled on her throne as the undisputed queen of pop, she lowered her decibels and now cries out to return to the ways of God.

“I am a good Catholic. I swear! I mean I don’t swear! It’s been a few decades since my last confession. Would it be possible to meet up some day to discuss some important issues?” the artist wrote to Pope Francis.

Madonna now awaits the response of the Holy Father and to see if that meeting could take place and she, as a prodigal daughter, receives forgiveness and can return to being a Catholic, with the right to confession and communion.

The queen of pop was excommunicated in 1989 by Pope John Paul II in 1989 for the broadcast of her “Like a Prayer” video. Her third excommunication came in 2006 when Madonna kicked off her “Confessions Tour” where she appeared in the show crucified.

The entrance Three times excommunicated Madonna asks to speak with the pope: “I am a good Catholic” was first published in diary TODAY.
