“I leave Montero at around four in the afternoon, He traveled about an hour and when I arrive in Santa Cruz it is almost another hour to get to the training session with Senséi Enrique Hurtado, since the gym is located on the other side of the city, by the seventh ring road and Santos Dumont Avenue,” Sol said. “One day we were passing with my family by the Gilberto Parada de Montero Coliseum and there I saw a boy enter with a karate uniform. With my sister we told my dad that we wanted to practice that sporthe made the inquiries and that’s how I started doing karate”, he says.
She recognizes that before her, no one in his family practiced karate; However, many know her for being the granddaughter of Pedro Duarte, a Paraguayan who came to play in Guabirá.
