The Plurinational Legislative Assembly (ALP) installed this Thursday, at 09:20, its sixth ordinary session, in which it will seek to elect the new Ombudsman or Ombudsmanfrom among seven applicants who passed this final stage.
The benches of We Believe and the Citizen Community (CC) denounce that the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) seeks to impose itself in the processand it is required, in advance, that the procedure to be followed for the vote be “clarified”.
“Regarding the methodology, we will deal with it when we get to the point. It is recommended that only assembly members authorized for this session remain in the room”, urged the ex officio president of that instance, David Choquehuanca.
The meeting of deputies and senators began with the reading of the correspondence, in which is the report of the Mixed Commission of Constitutionwho led the evaluation process of the 198 applicants who applied.

Before entering the debate, we proceed with the reading of the normative framework, which will be explained later, to later know the content of the selection process report and thus proceed to the vote, in which it is necessary two thirds of those present.
“They are not letting in people who want to be participants by observing the session, which is not secret, which must be done facing the people. It is a demand, Mr. President, that this historic session be held in front of the people”, requested Senator Cecilia Requena.
The Secretaries of the Upper and Lower Chambers, at the request of the opposition, reported that 36 senators are present, including two authorized substitutes, and 128 deputiestwo have medical leave.
Among the seven applicants, six are lawyers and one administrator. Is about Pedro Callisaya, Claudia Calvo, Luisa Chipana, Evelin Cossio, Ruben Estrada, Ramiro Iquise and Porfirio Machado.
