In the blink of an eye, the positive cases of Covid-19 have registered a sudden increase, since from a stable record between 600 and 900 daily cases, this afternoon they have almost doubled, reflecting 1,838 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

In the epidemiology report of the Ministry of Health, it is also reported that for the last 24 hours a death for a cumulative of 8,189 deaths and a lethality of 1%.

The total number of recovered people amounts to 764,020, of which 381 are newly recovered. 10,244 tests were applied for a positivity rate of 17.9%.

Active cases total 7,939 throughout the country, of which 7,823 are in home isolation and 116 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 7,803 at home and 20 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 101 in the ward and 15 in the ICU.

The districts with the highest incidence of cases are Juan Díaz (80); San Francisco (79), Rufina Alfaro (60) and Ancón (60).
