Export prices improved by 4.8% compared to imports

The amount of exported goods increased 3.2%, while imported goods grew 20.2%, reported the Indec.

The terms of trade, which measures the difference between the prices of the goods that Argentina exports in relation to those that it imports, improved for the country 4.8% in the first quarter of this year, in relation to the same month period of 2021 , informed the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).

The values ​​of the goods you export Argentina increased 21.7% in the first quarter of this year, compared to January-March 2021.

While, the prices of the products you import the country rose 16.1% between April and March, always in the interannual comparison.

In the midst of these movements the amount of goods exported increased 3.2%, while imported ones grew 20.2%, reported the Indec.

The rise of 21.7% in the Export Price Index the first quarter of 2022 showed increases of 69.3% in Fuels and Energy (C&E), 25.2% in Manufactures of Industrial Origin (MOI); 23.2% in Primary Products (PP), and 14.6% in Manufactures of Agricultural Origin (MOA).

Regarding the rise of 3.2% in the Export Quantities Index, there were increases of 27.9% in Primary Products, 5.4% in MOI, 15.2% in S&E, while those of MOA fell 16.4%
