The National Assembly (AN) installed this Tuesday the first group of 18 parliamentary friendship groups that seek to strengthen relations with the world.
“Today concludes an important exercise of part of our work, specifying a first group of 18 Parliamentary Friendship Groups,” said the first vice president of the AN Iris Varela.
She added, “I am sure that these compatriots, cadres of the revolution and political leaders of different options, will carry out their work with dedication and care,” she said.
The swearing-in was made by the president of the parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, who assured that this has been a political effort.
“The entire homeland recognizes the situation of peace, the situation of hope and above all the constructive work to strengthen ties with all the countries of the world in a climate of peace and respect for Sovereignty, respect for self-determination, respect for the independence of the peoples and above all, the respect of the desire of a people, their women and men, have and want from the forms of government, that are given according to the laws of the Republic”, he affirmed.

Before the designation, Deputy Timoteo Zambrano stressed that “this is the first number of groups with other countries, friendship groups are the heart of parliamentary diplomacy, between states, constitutions and powers; A new dialogue is approaching in the country and Venezuela today can say that there is normality and there is peace, but international normality has not been resolved.
He added that we must focus on some points, the relationship between the governments of the world, the relationship between national and international and multilateral parliaments.
