Last Thursday, November 18, the Public Prosecutor Specialized in crimes of corruption, Javier Pacheco, requested that the investigation of the Secretary General of the Presidential Office be initiated for a complaint of pressure against the head of the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat ), Luis Vera.
Through an official document sent to the Prosecutor’s Office, the attorney Javier Pacheco requested a request for a preliminary investigation against Bruno Pacheco. However, the Attorney General’s Office pointed out that the Sunat should be asked for tax information on the people and companies involved in the crimes.
In that sense, it will be sought that Bruno Pacheco himself and Luis Vera can give their own defense. In addition, it will be sought that Marco Antonio Urbina Chumpitassi and José Luis Hanco Lupinta declare and give their versions, since they were mentioned by the Secretary General of the Palace himself.
It should be noted that on November 9 this instance denounced Pedro Castillo’s henchman for the same crime, following the accusations of the former general commanders of the Army, Air Force, José Vizcarra Álvarez and Jorge Luis Chaparro, respectively.
