Venezuela and Iran review strategic agreements

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, met this Monday with the Iranian Oil Minister, Javad Owji, with the aim of reviewing strategic agreements between the two nations.

The information was made known by the deputy president through a post published on her account on the social network Twitter. «Pleasant working meeting with His Excellency Mr. Javad Owji, Minister of Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We reviewed the strategic agreements and on behalf of the Pdte. @NicolasMaduro we ratify the commitment to strengthen our relations for the benefit of both peoples.

Similarly, the Sectoral Vice President of Economy, Tareck El Aissami held a working meeting with the Oil Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Javad Owji, with the purpose of continuing to deepen bilateral cooperation mechanisms in oil matters in defense of the multilateralism and peace diplomacy.

During the meeting, both officials carried out a detailed follow-up of the various agreements established between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially those that point to the area of ​​hydrocarbons.

Likewise, they reviewed the different opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the oil, gas and petrochemical sector, as well as in the multilateral sphere with the perfect alliances that Caracas and Tehran maintain within OPEC and the OPEC+ Declaration of Cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Hon. Mr. Fereydoon Hasanvand, president of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran and, on behalf of Venezuela, the president of PDVSA, Asdrúbal Chávez.
