With the aim of continuing to provide technological tools that improve and facilitate the work of the business segment, Wind and Microsoftas part of their alliance, gave the conference “Cloud Trends and Solutions for Digital Transformation”.
The event was led by Wind, its president, Joseph Class; Damián Báez, Executive Vice President; Marketing Director, Osvaldo Flores; Senior Business Sales Manager, July Romero; by Microsoft, the speaker Marlene Dietshregional manager of Cloud Businesses in the Caribbean.
Báez highlighted that this is the first post-pandemic face-to-face event, pointing out that Wind and its business unit in the last two years accelerated the deployment of cloud technologies and solutions to guarantee the operational continuity of its clients.
He said that with Microsoft and its partner Intcomex they will continue accompanying companies to capitalize on new business scenarios, such as the remote work, e-commerce projects and process automationamong others.
Banks call on customers to avoid cybercrime
On the other hand, the Association of Multiple Banks of the Dominican Republic (ABA) called on users of the banking system and the general public to prevent them from being victims of cybercrime maintaining healthy habits when browsing the Internet and using digital tools.
The ABA highlighted that in recent years, and especially due to the pandemic, the number of users with Internet access and also the potential risk through this platform.
The union detailed that, according to statistics from the Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Indotel), at the end of 2021, 9,466,815 users were registered, presenting a growth of 8% (701,547 new users) compared to December 2020, when there were 8,765,268 accounts.
Taking this initiative as a reference, the guild called on users to be aware of the different ways cybercriminals use to perform scams, identity theft and information theftamong other practices.
