Atlético-MG achieved their first victory playing at home in Série A1 (first division) of the Brazilian Women’s Championship by beating Santos by 2-1, this Monday (2) at Estádio Castor Cifuentes, in Nova Lima.Atlético-MG beats Santos with a comeback in the Brazilian Women's Championship

The result left the Minas Gerais team in 8th position with 12 points. Peixe ends the 8th round of the competition in 6th position with the same 12 points.

Even losing in the end, Santos opened the scoring in the 15th minute of the first half, when Fernanda received freely inside the area to overcome goalkeeper Nicole Ramos.

However, in the final stage, Atlético-MG turned the confrontation around thanks to goals from Yisela Cuesta, in the 35th minute, and Bruna Cotrim, in a penalty kick, in the 40th minute.

The teams return to the field for the competition on May 15, when Atlético-MG visits São José. Santos plays a classic against São Paulo.
