The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) announced the capture of Oscar Iván “N”, alleged mastermind of the murder of two Canadian citizens on January 21 at the Xcaret tourist complex, in Quintana Roo.
After intelligence work, monitoring of the lines of investigation and inter-institutional work between the Attorney General of Justice of Quintana Roo, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the National Anti-Kidnapping Coordination (know) and the National Intelligence Center (CNI), the two detainees were located in Mexico City from Chiapas.

On January 25 of this year, the Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo reported the capture of Christian “R” and the Canadian Nhu “T”, accused of murder and attempted murder against the two Canadians.
Allegedly, Christian “R” was part of a criminal group dedicated to depriving people of life, and in early January 2022, he was ordered to do a job, for which he moved to Quintana Rooalong with two subjects, arriving on January 16.
In relation to the Canadian citizen Nhu “T” it is attributed to her that on the day of the events she met the aggressor inside the hotel Xcaret approximately 40 minutes before the execution of the two victims was carried out.
