Government reported 20 infections and one deceased by covid-19 this #30Apr

The death toll amounts to 5,709. In the last 24 hours, the death of a 90-year-old woman was recorded in Aragua state due to covid-19.


Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reported through the social network Twitter that during the day of April 30, 20 cases of covid-19 were detected in Venezuela, all by community transmission.

Rodríguez indicated that the state with the highest contagion in the last few hours was Monagas (4), with active infections in 1 municipality; followed by the entities: Yaracuy (4), Miranda (2) and Caracas (2). Lara, Mérida, Aragua, Portuguesa, Zulia, Guárico, Anzoátegui and Vargas registered only one case in each entity.

Regarding the general statistics, the vice president reported that currently the total number of infections by covid-19 is 522,325. The recovered patients amount to 515,675, which is equivalent to (99%), in addition, she assured that the current active cases are 941.

He noted that the death toll rose to 5,709, due to the death of a 90-year-old woman in Aragua state due to covid-19.

“In recent weeks the number of infections has decreased in Venezuela, thanks to the efforts of President Nicolás Maduro. The massive vaccination days and the health centers remain active to continue immunizing and attending to each case by covid-19, ”said the official.
