The official made these assertions during the Conference “Responsibility of the Actors of the Insurance Sector”organized by the Dominican Association of Insurance Brokers, northern branch, who assured that it is the first time in 27 years of creating that organization and in the 53 years of foundation of the Superintendence of Insurance, that a Superintendent takes into account insurance brokers insurance in Santiago de los Caballeros and the northern region.

ADOCOSE presented a plaque of recognition to the Superintendent of Insurance, Josefa Castillo Rodríguez, for the changes, transformations and modernization that she has achieved in her management, for the benefit of the insurance sector. Agustín Colon, president of that entity in the northern region, based in Santiago de los Caballeros, when delivering the recognition, thanked the official for taking the runners into account as a demonstration of fairness and openness.
Josefa Castillo thanked the gesture, but affirmed that what he does is fulfill his duties as Superintendent and pointed out that visiting the Santiago Insurance Brokers accompanied by the Technical Board of the Insurance Superintendence demonstrates the value they give to the brokers , insurance agents and intermediaries, especially the regional ones, which had never been taken into account by any administration.
The conference “Responsibility of the Actors in the Insurance Sector”, was given by Eliana Díaz, director of inspection and Dilcia Ureña, in charge of the money laundering prevention department of the Superintendency of Insurance, before a crowded group of brokers who gathered at the León Center in Santiago de los Caballeros.
The Superintendent of Insurance expressed that insurance brokers, agents and intermediaries are the essence and the best publicity, that as intermediaries they attract customers with their sales strategies and each one, with creativity, give important support to insurance companies. insurance, to achieve the figures of 86 billion pesos obtained by the insurance sector, at the end of last year 2021.
Also present at the activity was Zaide Alba Cavagliano, national president of the Dominican Association of Insurance Brokers (ADOCOSE) and Nicole Toribio, executive president of the entity and the board of directors of the northern subsidiary association.
