The Executive Power ruled this Friday, through a decree, that the prices of Super naphtha and diesel will rise $1.5 and $3 per liter, respectively. The increase will take effect from 00:00 this Sunday, May 1.
The Regulatory Unit for Energy and Water Services (Ursea) I had advanced a few days agoin its monthly report, that the price should rise by about $3 in the case of gasoline and $10 in the case of diesel.
However, the Minister of Industry, Omar Paganini, pointed out that the prices set by Ursea were not chosen because the government thought of “mitigating” the impact of the global crisis that arose as a result of the war in Ukraine. To this is added, in addition, that a lower price increase was chosen to “try to gain a little time to finance Ancap”, although the entity “can still mitigate these increases a little”, said the hierarch.
“We understand the inflationary impact of this rise” in fuels for the month of May, acknowledged the minister.
For his part, the director of Ancap, Richard Charamelo, had assured last Tuesday the 26th that from the public entity they maintained an “optimistic” vision that at the end of this month it would be possible to evaluate some drop in fuel prices.

With this increase, Super gasoline will cost $79.38, while Premium 97 will cost $81.35 per liter. The 10S diesel will cost $73.80 and the 50S diesel $61.99.
In turn, supergas will cost $63.35 per kilogram.
The Ursea report for April had marked an increase of $7.5 for gasoline and $15 for diesel and, finally, it ended up being $3 and $5, respectively.
The current prices (which will be in force until 11:59 p.m. this Saturday, April 30) are: $77.88 for Super 95 gasoline; $79.85 for Premium 97; $72.30 for 10S diesel, and $58.99 for 50S diesel.
