The program ‘Payment Parking Zones’, of the Ministry of Mobility started firmly in Bogotá and, from this Tuesday, November 16, began the cI work for parking on public roads.
It is worth remembering that this program included two weeks of pedagogy so that citizens could become familiar with the new system.

The first 1,000 places, Initially, they are located in the Chicó Norte sector, in the Chapinero town, between streets 76 and 94; and between the Autopista Norte and Carrera 11.
It is expected that by the end of 2022 the capital will have more than 13,000 spaces for parking.
To recognize them, the paid parking areas will be demarcated with white squares on the ground and, in addition, they will have an informative sign showing the hours and rates of the service.

The hours of the parking areas are comprised of Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, while the saturdays will have a schedule between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm
Outside these hours and both on Sundays and holidays, the zones will not generate any charge and citizens will be able to park without consequences.
The collection is made in fractions of 30 minutes and in advance. The rate varies according to the length of stay and the type of vehicle.

The automobiles will pay a fee of $ 3,000 por fraction, if your stay does not exceed 2 hours, which if so, you will pay $ 4,600 per fraction of 30 minutes. For the motorcycles the rate is $ 2,100 for a fraction of half an hour, if it does not exceed 2 hours. If you do, the fee will be $ 3,200 per fraction of half an hour.
Payment will be made through the app Payment Parking Area that the user must download on the cell phone, or directly in cash with the facilitator, duly identified, who is in charge of the parking spaces.
