“Free my mother!” With that harangue, Carolina Ribera, daughter of ex-president Jeanine Añez, asked for her mother’s release when President Luis Arce entered the Trinidad university campus, where an event was held for Beni’s anniversary.

Faced with this action, a group of police officers tried to stop her in the middle of struggles. The fact was denounced by opposition legislators.

Arce was invited to participate in the protocol acts in commemoration of the 180 years of the founding of the department of Beni. National and regional authorities participated in the event.

“Free my mother, free my mother!” Shouted Ribera as the security capsule entered the scene, at which point the uniformed men chased her for a few seconds and held her.

Meanwhile, other people who supported Ribera’s protest complained about the police action and recorded the incident on video.

After that, a group of opposition parliamentarians and activists denounced that they were not allowed to enter the campus of the Autonomous University of Beni. They accused the governor Alejandro Unzueta and the mayor of Trinidad, Cristhian Cámara, of being “sold to the government.”

“We are protesting against our sold-out rulers, against the governor and the mayor who were not at the side of the people when he was protesting against Law 1386. (…) They were not at the side of their people, but today they are to receive authorities from the national government. ”, Questioned the deputy of the Citizen Community (CC) Priscila Dantes.

Meanwhile, the group protesting in the vicinity of the place began to harangue: “Govern tilín, mayor tilín”, alluding to a viral video in which users dance to the rhythm of a song.
