When he was driving his car in the municipality of La Paz, Cesar, Jorge Luis Oñate, son of the deceased vallenato singer Jorge Oñate, was required by a traffic officer.
Apparently, the 47-year-old singer also missed a “stop” sign and the uniformed man chased him until he was arrested.
This happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, after the son of the “Goldfinch of America” left the Vallenato Festival in Valledupar, an event where a heartfelt tribute was paid to his father.
According to the police report, when requested by the police, Jorge Luis Oñate would have bitten a patrol car.
In addition, they point out that he insulted the police officers present.

The injured patrolman was identified as Freddy CB, attached to the La Paz Police Station.
It was learned that after what happened Jorge Luis Oñate was taken to a Police Station and later, after the mishap was overcome, he regained his freedom.
This would not be the only time that Oñate son is involved in a scandal for assaulting a public servant. In September 2019, he was the target of criticism for allegedly beating a police officer at El Dorado Airport in Bogotá.
