Florida: 44-year-old man involved in crash on Route 7 dies

A 44-year-old man died this Thursday as a result of a strong accident registered traffic on route 7 within the jurisdiction of the department of Florida.

The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on kilometer 200 of the aforementioned route. According to the report of the National Highway Police Directorate the incident involved a car with a pickup truck.

The largest vehicle was traveling from south to north with two occupants on board, while in the car there were, in addition to the driver, three companions. This second car was traveling in the opposite direction. The collision between the two vehicles was head-on.

The accident that occurred near the town of Nico Pérez (Florida) resulted in the death of the driver of the Peugeot model 206 car. On the other hand, the three companions who were with him presented polytrauma. A 22-year-old man presented with an open fracture of the arm, amnesia, and chest trauma; another 30-year-old man was diagnosed with cranial-facial trauma with amnesia and thoracic and spinal trauma. The third young man, aged 21, suffered a broken leg and abdominal chest trauma.

The driver of the Volkswagen Saveiro model truck, a 24-year-old, was the victim of mild polytrauma. When performing a spirometry test, it was negative.
