The president maintained that with the Electoral Reform announced this morning by the president, the councilors that make up the National Electoral Institute (INE) will be elected by direct vote, in addition to giving money to parties only when there are elections, so they will save 20,000 millions of pesos.
Sheinbaum highlighted López Obrador’s bill to nationalize lithium, which he called “white gold.”
“I will be able to tell my grandchildren that I lived through a historic moment in which President López Obrador nationalized lithium,” he said.
The official revived the criticism against opposition federal deputies who voted against the Electricity Reform, which did not reach two thirds in favor to be approved.
“What do you call those who defend foreign countries, transnational companies, above the defense of the homeland?” asked the president. “Traitors!”, answered some of the attendees.
