After a meeting of more than three hours, the majority of the Liberal Party caucus decided that they are more inclined to offer its support to the presidential candidacy of Federico Gutiérrez, from the first presidential round.
After extensive deliberation, the congressmen decided to empower former president César Gaviria, sole head of the community, to talk with Gutiérrez in the next few hours and reach an agreement that allows them to support him on May 29.
As stipulated, if ‘Fico’ Gutiérrez accepts the red lines that liberalism is proposingwill immediately begin the campaign to support him in his intention to reach the House of Nariño.
