A rather delicate situation with a cyclist that was about to end in a serious tragedy was the one that took place this Monday, April 25, between the Las Mariposas and Mono Aullador tunnels in Alto de La Línea.
The episode was recorded by the driver of a vehicle that was moving through the area and who managed to capture the exact moment in which a cyclist passed at full speed.
The images show how the athlete zigzags and leaves other vehicles in his wake.
However, when leaving the Butterfly Tunnel and entering the so-called Howler, the accident occurs.
The cyclist continues his march at full speed and when he tries to pass two tractor-trailers he ends up colliding violently with one of them.
