Central councilors delay government intervention

Departmental councilors did not give the necessary quorum to deal with the intervention request of the Government of Central. In the ordinary session the request was to be dealt with for the third time.

Roque Ávalos, a liberal departmental councilor, requested another extraordinary session for 10 a.m. on Tuesday. With this, it will be sought to adopt some decision on the future of the government, considering that Hugo Javier González, governor, is under house arrest and cannot exercise his functions in this way.

The Liberals were five. They were joined by the official movement of the ANR; “Republican Force” -former Añeteté- with also its five councillors. With this, only 10 councilors were present. Only one was needed.

Mario Aguilera, liberal councilman and president of the Municipal Board, will continue to be in charge of dispatch, but he does not have the capacity to sign checks and other important documents.
