The Construction Confidence Index (ICST), from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), grew 4.8 points in April this year compared to March. As a result, the indicator reached 97.7 points, the highest level since January 2014 (97.8 points). The ICST ranges from zero to 200 points.
The Current Situation Index, which measures the confidence of construction entrepreneurs at present, rose 2.4 points and reached 94.4 points, the highest level since June 2014, when it reached 95.2 points.
The Expectations Index, which measures the perception of the business community in relation to the future, grew 7.1 points, the highest monthly variation since July 2020 (8.5 points), and reached 101 points.
The Construction Capacity Utilization Level (Nuci) dropped 0.2 percentage point, to 75.8%.
