For this Friday, April 29, the Pro Pedernales Trust plans to hold a public viewing for the purpose of presenting the results of the latest environmental impact studies carried out by that entity for the Cabo Rojo Tourism Development Plan.
The information was offered by the entity through its Communications department, which indicates that the institution’s technical team is currently analyzing said results for presentation in the aforementioned province.
The plan covers a total area of approximately 38 million square meters and will include the construction of luxury and ecological hotels, with sustainable energy generation capacity, in addition to the construction of affordable housing for the employees of the area and the project.
The strategy, which is carried out among important protected areas for their ecological value, is monitored by environmental groups who hope that the initiative will not harm the natural reserves of the province, which they understand are vital for a sustainable project.

The “Cabo Rojo” international airport project is also in the technical and topographical studies phase, which will be located in the town of Los Tres Charcos, Oviedo municipality.
This was reiterated by the Airport Department, and confirmed that within the location of the land there are no protected spaces.
“We must emphasize that the construction of the airport has not yet started, we are in the phase of carrying out the preliminary technical and topographical studies that entail a work of this magnitude,” said the institution’s Communications Department.
