“Aucas is pleased to announce that we have reached a contractual agreement with the coaching staff headed by Professor César Farías, who will be in charge of the sports project that this institution is carrying out,” announced the Ecuadorian entity.
Aucas began the season with Argentinian Héctor Bidoglio on the bench, but was sacked last week following a 4-0 rout inflicted on them by Guayaquil City on matchday eight of the tournament.
Bidoglio’s departure was succeeded on an interim basis by his compatriot Nelson Videla, who led the team to a 3-2 victory over Universidad Católica, but lost 1-0 on Sunday in his visit to Emelec.
The team is in seventh place among sixteen teams, with 13 points, 9 less than the leader Barcelona.
Farías directed the Green from August 2019 to March of this year. Between 2007 and 2013 he managed the senior team of his country. He also managed the Mexican Xolos, Cerro Porteño, The Strongest in Bolivia and the Indian North East United.
The entrance Farías closes his arrival in Ecuadorian football was first published in diary TODAY.
