The CNE received recommendations from the UN

The National Electoral Council (CNE) received this Monday the recommendations of the Panel of Electoral Experts of the United Nations Organization (UN) who participated as international companions in the Regional and Municipal Elections on November 21.

The activity was chaired by the highest authority of the Electoral Power, Pedro Calzadilla; who was accompanied by the vice president, Enrique Márquez; the electoral rectors Tania D’Amelio; Alexis Corredor and Roberto Picón.

The information was disseminated by the electoral entity through the social network Twitter. “The participation of the UN Panel of Experts during the elections was governed by an agreement signed between both parties, which establishes that the document generated by the delegation is confidential and its dissemination is the power of the Secretary General of the Organization.2410”.

The president of the entity, Pedro Calzadilla, received from the Head of the Delegation a summary of the document endorsed by the Secretary General of the Organization, Antonio Guterres, and thanked the work carried out by the UN delegation.

Representing the multilateral body, Gianluca Rampolla del Tindaro, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Venezuela and Humanitarian Coordinator, and the UN Special Advisor, Antonio Arabimar Arze, were present at the CNE headquarters.
