The Brazilian government issued this Monday (25) a statement in which it sends its greetings to the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, reelected this Sunday (24) for the command of the European country.
Macron won 58.5% of the valid votes, beating far-right candidate Marine Le Pen, who won 41.5% of the vote.
“Brazil reaffirms its willingness to work for the deepening of the historic ties that unite the two countries and bring mutual benefits to Brazilians and French people and expresses its expectation of continuing to implement the broad bilateral agenda”, says the note sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the re-elected president. .
