Trade balance deficit reached 1,711 million dollars

According to the most recent Dane report on external purchases, during September 2021, the imports registered before the Dian totaled 5,733 million dollars and presented an increase of 64.9% compared to the same month of 2020.

As the Dane explained, This behavior was mainly due to the 66.5% increase in the Manufacturing group.

In September 2021, Manufacturing imports participated with 78.7% of the total value of imports, followed by products Agriculture, food and beverages with 12.8%, Fuels and products of the extractive industries with 8.4% and other sectors 0.1%.

For its part, in September 2021 there was a deficit in the Colombian trade balance of 1,711 million dollars, while in September 2020 there was a deficit of 758 million dollars.
