The General Price Index-10 (IGP-10), measured by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), registered inflation of 1.19% in November. In October, the indicator had had deflation (price drop) of 0.31%.
The rate for November this year was, however, below the 3.51% of November 2020. As a result, the IGP-10 accumulates inflation of 17.47% in the year and 19.78% in 12 months.
The October-to-November hike was mainly driven by wholesale prices. The Broad Producer Price Index (IPA) moved from a deflation of 0.77% in October to an inflation of 1.31% in November.
The National Construction Cost Index (INCC) also rose from 0.53% in October to 0.95% in November.
On the other hand, the Consumer Price Index (IPC), which measures retail, dropped from 1.26% in October to 0.79% in November.
