According to the latest survey of national representation of the Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP) made for The Republic67% of Peruvians disapprove of the management of the head of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torres. After his controversial statements, the prime minister’s popularity fell by six percentage points compared to March 2022.
On the other hand, only 24% of those surveyed indicated that they were satisfied with the work of Torres at the head of the PCM, while 9% refrained from giving an opinion. Last month, Torres achieved a 29% approval rating, which shows that he is down from the last poll.
In February 2022, 54% of the population disapproved of the Prime Minister’s management36% approved and 10% did not know or had no opinion.
The study carried out by the IEP consulted the population from Monday, April 18 to Thursday, April 21, and has margins of error of 2.8 points above and below each result of national representation.

Pedro Castillo maintains disapproval of 67%
In April, the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, has maintained his level of disapproval with 67%, according to the latest IEP survey. In contrast, only 25% of citizens approve of the way in which the head of state is running the country.
The same study also revealed that 65% of those questioned believe that the president will not finish his term, while 25% believe that he will manage to complete his term as president.
