The Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti, launched on Saturday in Tucumán the program the Vaccination Week of the Americasduring an act in which he highlighted that “in Argentina there are vaccines for all stages of life that are freeand they are available in all health centers”.
“Today from Tucumán we are launching this event for the entire country with the Pan American Health Organization”, said the minister after the official act of launching the 20th edition of the program.
The launch of Vaccination Week in the Americas took place at the Ojo de Agua Complex, simultaneously with 8 other operations in the interior of the province.
The campaign will continue until April 30 and will include different activities aimed at the entire community aimed at completing their vaccination.
“It is a moment where it is remembered that we have to check the calendar every day and generate actions to improve coverage,” he added.
Vizzotti highlighted that “in Argentina there are vaccines for all stages of life that are freeand are available in all health centers, these they save lives Y benefit who we vaccinate and those around us”.
“Thanks to the vaccines, smallpox was eradicated, polio, measles in our region, rubella were eliminated, whooping cough was controlled, hospitalizations for pneumonia and deaths from whooping cough in babies dropped,” he said.
“Today we start in Tucumán, then we will go to the city of Buenos Aires, Salta, Iguazú, Santiago del Estero”, Vizzotti advanced.
“This province has worked a lot on vaccination and has prioritized health and it has also worked very hard in the response to the pandemic, so we like to share and recognize, now that we can meet again in person, being here is really a pleasure”, valued the national official.
For his part, the Minister of Health of Tucumán, Luis Medina Ruíz, indicated: “We believe that this coming week is very important so that let’s specify in the calendarwe know that vaccines save lives is one of the best health inventions”.
“Vaccines are availableare freeis it so accessiblewhen a person cannot go to receive the vaccines let’s go to his houseso there is no excuse not to get vaccinated, not only for Covid but for all other diseases,” he concluded.
