Santo Domingo.- The municipality of Santo Domingo Norte, close to the capital, needs a series of works to continue its path towards development, including a university, an efficient sewage system and the construction of several bridges that would help facilitate vehicular traffic.
This was stated by Professor Nelson Fulcar, candidate for the municipal nomination for the position of mayor by the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) for that demarcation, which includes Villa Mella, Guaricanos, Punta and Sabana Perdida.
“Our proposal is very broad, because we have on the agenda to build a series of works that are needed in our community, such as: a shelter for the elderly, an efficient health system and building sports centers,” he said.
During a visit to the newsroom of El Nacional, Professor Fulcar indicated that this municipality requires other works, among which he cited an amphitheater, a house of culture and a music school.
«All these works are in our program, because we understand that they would be of great benefit to the population of Santo Domingo Norte. But we also contemplate the rescue of public spaces, as ordered by law », he said.
He also pointed out that he is planning a boardwalk, for which an avenue would be built on the banks of the Isabela River, through the Mirador Norte park.
Santo Domingo Norte has a good hospital complex (Ney Arias Lora), but it needs a university, so that the residents of that demarcation do not have to move to the capital to carry out their studies.
Fulcar was accompanied by the sports leader and aspiring alderman, Raymer Contreras, the pastor Miguel Ángel Adames and the journalist Félix Melo.
