President Maduro appointed new ministers

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, appointed this Friday new ministers for the offices of Fisheries and Aquaculture and Industries and National Production.

The announcements were made by the Head of State through his account on the social network Twitter.

In this sense, he appointed Juan Carlos Loyo as the new Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, who will have the task of working together with fishermen to achieve “food sovereignty.”

After the appointment, Loyo thanked President Maduro for this task, and stated that “it is an honor to serve the Homeland, you and the People of Venezuela.”

Likewise, he appointed Juan Arias as the new Minister for Industry and National Production.

Arias -detailed the National President- “has the responsibility to (…) continue with the economic recovery, through the promotion of the productive sectors. Produce and Produce for Venezuela!”

Arias had previously served as minister for Basic, Strategic and Socialist Industries (Minppibes), and also served as president of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG).

On the other hand, he thanked the work carried out by Olga Luisa Figueroa and José Gregorio Biomorgi, who were in charge of these offices until this Friday.
