With three goals from striker Diego Souza, Grêmio defeated Guarani 3-1, this Thursday (21) in Porto Alegre, in the match that opened the third round of Serie B of the Brazilian Championship. This result left the tricolor in the third position of the classification, with four points. Bugre, on the other hand, is the runner-up, with just one point.

Playing at home, Grêmio opened the scoring early, in the first minute, when Gabriel Teixeira played for Diego Souza, who hit with category to overcome Kozlinski. However, Guarani equalized in the 25th minute, when Matheus Pereira took advantage of goalkeeper Brenno’s rebound.
But Tricolor was better and got back in front before the break. At 39 Bitello crossed for Diego Souza to finish beautifully with a header. Already at 11 of the final stage, shirt 29 returned to head efficiently to give final numbers to the confrontation.
The teams will return to play for the competition next Wednesday (26), when Grêmio visits Operário-PR and Guarani receives Criciúma.
