The sale of new homes in Metropolitan Lima and Callao reached 1,460 units in March, the highest figure in the last 12 months, according to the Real Estate Analytics Report, from the Association of Real Estate Companies (ASEI).
According to the report, there was a 1.5% growth in home sales in March of this year compared to units sold in the same month of 2021.
The Modern Lima area (Jesús María, San Miguel, Lince, Magdalena del Mar, Pueblo Libre and Surquillo) continued to lead home sales with 42.4% of the total.

Next comes Lima Top (Barranco, Miraflores, San Borja, San Isidro and Santiago de Surco) with a 32.3% share; Central Lima (Breña, Cercado de Lima, Rímac and La Victoria) with 12%, and North Lima (Carabayllo, Comas, Independencia, Los Olivos, Puente Piedra, San Martín de Porres, Ancón and Santa Rosa) with 5.8%.
Followed by South Lima (Chorrillos, San Juan de Miraflores, Villa El Salvador, Villa María del Triunfo) with 4.1% of the total; East Lima (Ate, Santa Anita, El Agustino, San Juan de Lurigancho) with 3.1%, and Callao with 0.3%.
“The central and emerging districts such as Jesús María or Magdalena continue to lead home sales in Lima and Callao”, said the president of the ASEI Market Analysis Committee, Ricardo Arbulú.
Price per square meter
According to the figures in the report, the average price per square meter of sale (m²) in Metropolitan Lima was S/ 6,772, with an annual variation of 12.7% in the last 12 months.
According to ASEI, the increase was mainly due to the rise in the cost of construction materials.
