The president of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD), Celso Juan Marranzini, highlighted the support that this sector has received from the current authorities of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM), headed by Víctor “Ito” Bisonó.
The business leader stated that since the new government was installed, policies have been implemented that have favored the strengthening of the country’s manufacturing activity.
He stressed that this support has been vital for the reactivation of the national industry in times of global economic difficulties.
“We have worked hand in hand with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce since this government was installed almost two years ago and it has really been of great support to the development of reindustrialization and the development of industrial policies that strengthen manufacturing activity in the country”, stressed the businessman.
In that order, Marranzini trusted that despite the adverse outlook faced by all the world’s economies, the manufacturing sector in the Dominican Republic will continue to rise at the same rate as the local economy is growing.
