Inhabitants of the Arenales, La Capilla and Santa Rosa sectors of Apure state denounced that alleged officials of the Venezuelan Army forcibly evicted them from their homes.

In a video shared on Twitter by NGO Foundationsa family is shown gathering their belongings to leave a house after members of the Army ordered them to leave the place.

The images show men, women and children loading household items into a van.

These people also claimed that the officers are looting and destroying their agricultural production units, and even butchering the cattle, as can be seen in a series of photos published by Fundaredes.

The NGO pointed out that all those displaced from their homes are low-income citizens. They are currently taking refuge in the Alirio Palacios school, located in the La Capilla sector.

Of these same facts, those affected left a record before the communal councils of the area, with whom they met in previous days.

They reiterated that the armed conflicts that constantly occur in the area between irregular groups and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces leave the population unprotected, for which they called on the Venezuelan State to guarantee the human rights of these people.

“From Fundaredes we ask the Venezuelan State to guarantee the right to life and private property of the civilian population in the midst of the armed conflict in the state of Apure,” the organization said.
