Samba schools, spectators and revelers will have five days of good weather in Rio de Janeiro to enjoy Carnival. For today (20), Alerta Rio forecasts that the weather will remain steady in the city, due to the influence of a high pressure system in the ocean. The sky is clear to partly cloudy, with no forecast of rain, with light to moderate winds and stable temperatures, with a minimum of 15°C and a maximum of 31°C.
At Sapucaí, the parades of the Gold Series schools, or access group, begin this Wednesday at 9 pm. In Intendente Magalhães, the plot blocks are presented. the street groups were not authorized by the city hall to parade, but some are organizing themselves to receive revelers in the coming days. Mayor Eduardo Paes guaranteed that there will be no repression.
Last week, the Occupy Carnival movement published manifest advocating that the Public Power support the street carnival. The document recalls that “carnival is not a social event that depends on a charter, but popular expression and a historical right conquered in the struggle”. The manifesto was signed by 128 groups, blocks and carnival organizations, including groups such as Bola Preta, Boitatá, Amigos da Onça, Afoxé Filhos de Gandhi, Mulheres Rodadas, Céu na Terra and Orquestra Voadora.

The Independent Association of Street Carnival Blocks in Rio of January (Sebastiana) informed that its affiliates will not parade in the streets this year. Sebastiana brings together Gigantes da Lira, Bloco das Carmelitas, Bloco do Barbas, Bloco da Ansiedade, Imprensa que eu Gamo, Escravos da Mauá, Suvaco do Cristo, Sympathy is Almost Love, What the fuck is this, Honey, I’ll be back soon and Bloco Virtual.
At the Terreiro do Samba, which is next to Sapucaí, attractions start at 8 pm, including Teresa Cristina, Alcione and Belo. The ticket costs R$ 20 the whole time.

From tomorrow (21) to Sunday (24), the permanence of the high pressure system over the ocean should keep the weather stable in Rio of January, with varied cloud cover and no forecast of rain. Temperatures are gradually rising, reaching 30ºC in the period, but the minimum for tomorrow should be 17ºC, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), with a maximum of 30ºC.

At fridayOn Monday (22), the forecast is for skies with few clouds and a temperature between 18ºC and 33ºC, rising to a minimum of 22ºC and a maximum of 37ºC in the Saturday. THE Sunday must be clear sky, with temperature between 21ºC and 35ºC, for the parade of junior schools in Sapucaí.
