Pain and great sadness overwhelms the community of San Cristóbal, department of Bolívar, due to the femicide of Belkis Orozco, a woman who enjoyed the affection and respect of the entire town.
She would have been murdered by her ex-partner, a man who would have come to Colombia from Chile to spend Easter holidays.
In an apparent fit of jealousy, the man would have given him a shot that blinded him to life.
This incident would have originated in a ranch, according to versions of some witnesses.
After allegedly committing this crime, the perpetrator fled and his whereabouts were unknown. However, at around 3 in the afternoon it was learned that he turned himself in to the Prosecutor’s Office in the company of his lawyer.
according to medium News24the alleged femicide of Belkis stated that he did not remember what happened since “he had been drinking alcohol for three days.”

Residents of San Cristóbal marched against this femicide that has dismayed everyone.
With banners, whistles and voices in unison, the vast majority of women walked through the town demanding justice.
Regarding the relationship between the aggressor and Belkis, it was learned that they had been separated for months. Also that the ex-partner has two daughters in common.
Authorities are in charge of this investigation to find guilty or not this alleged feminicide.
