President Jair Bolsonaro’s first agenda in Dubai was a visit to Expo 2020, also known as Expo Dubai, an international event with the participation of 192 countries, including Brazil. There, Bolsonaro met with the Emir of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In Dubai, Bolsonaro also participated in the opening of an aerospace fair. The president attended the opening of the Brazilian stand at the fair and saw some Embraer aircraft. The United Arab Emirates are among the five nations that most purchase Brazilian products in the defense sector.
From 2019 to 2020, over 426 million dollars were exported. And this year, according to the Ministry of Defense, another agreement should be signed for the development, production and sale of products during the Dubai Air Show.
